How do I benefit from the DCSA certification?
The basic information, which a data center operator forwards to its customers, is certified. A transparent effort in terms of time and costs will be created for the company to be certified.
For whom is a certification relevant?
The Datacenter Star Audit is suitable for companies that operate a dedicated server room with minimal requirements for air conditioning, power supply, and network connections.
What is the schedule of a DCSA certification?
The company to be certified receives a questionnaire (RfI = Request for Information), which will be verified by an onsite inspection with two independent eco authorised auditors (eAA). How much time do I need to schedule for the certification?
According to experience, a period of ca. 3-4 weeks, from the date of the contract being signed to the date the certification, has proved realistic (filling out the questionnaire, on-site inspection of your data center by two eco auditors: day 1; assessment of the questionnaire/reporting another day, final presentation and awarding the certificate and emblem badge). If you are flexible with your schedule, an audit can possibly be conducted in a shorter period of time.
How long is a certification valid?
Starting with the audit date, the license for using the audit emblem badge and the logos in digital and print form is valid for 24 months.

DCSA – The Quality Standard of the Data Center
In the last few years, different certifications and classification systems have been implemented by the IT sector. They all target different goals. In addition to the concentration on the infrastructure, the security certifications developed for data centers focus mainly on the use and products of the data centers.
While other certifications use an all-or-nothing philosophy, the Datacenter Star Audit differentiates the quality offered by using stars. An eco-audit process does not take several years and does not require continuous investments until the certification can be achieved.
